One of the major problems in cold weather concreting is the likelihood of frozen fresh concrete due to melting and freezing cycles. In these conditions, the increased volume of water due to frosting leads to cracks in the concrete. These cracks increase the permeability of concrete and lead to deeper erosion. Under such conditions, the concrete bubble blower additive is added to the concrete to reduce the permeability and extend the life of the concrete against repeated freezing and thawing cycles.
Properties and effects of E.M.AIR concrete bubble blower:
- Increase concrete strength against freezing and thawing cycles
- Ability to reduce water consumption without reducing concrete efficiency
- Increase durability of concrete in cold environment
- Risk of separation of fine and coarse concrete
- Reduce the likelihood of concrete thawing
- Useful and effective drainage and reduce destructive drainage
- Reduce capillary tubular bonding to the concrete structure by causing fracture.
- Increased adhesion between concrete components in mixtures with poor aggregation.
Applications of E.M.AIR concrete bubble blower:
- Construction of concrete pavements for roads, highways, runways and sidewalks
- Construction of concrete irrigation and drainage networks, especially in cold climates
- Making concrete for cold stores and piers
- Concrete in cold areas
- Manufacture of prefabricated concrete and concrete tables for streets and highways
