Uses of UNIFIX-2K-6 tile adhesive

UNIFIX-2K/6 tile adhesive as a thin layer adhesive for gluing all types of tiles and ceramics with low water absorption (≤ 0.5%), such as glass tiles, clay tiles, mosaics and natural stones. It is used which is not only transparent but also insensitive to color change.

The desired surface must be dry, load-bearing, smooth and free from cracks and contamination such as oil, paint and loose materials. The method of preparing tile adhesive; Pour 2.4 kg of UNIFLEX-B and 2.4 liters of water into a clean container and mix. While stirring slowly, a 25 kg package of Unifix 2k is added to it and the mixing process continues until a completely uniform mixture is reached. After a short pause, the mixture should be stirred again for 3 minutes. In each step, only the amount of ingredients that can be consumed within one hour should be mixed. Spread the adhesive mixture on the surface and smooth it with a notched trowel suitable for the shape of the tile. Before the glue dries, put the finishing material on the surface.

- Along with ASOFLEX-AKB, it is also recommended to use ASODUR-EK98 for tiling.
- When installing artificial or natural stones, pay attention to the characteristics of the final surface (including color change, risk of twisting, etc.) and the manufacturer's recommendation. In case of any doubts, do this test on a surface first.
- To avoid twisting effects due to water absorption, it is recommended to use ASODUR-EK98 together with aggregate/artificial stone mixture.
- When tiling on surfaces with heavy use (balconies and terraces), first apply the elastic waterproofing system AQUAFIN-2K/M and UNIFLIX-2K.
- UNIFIX-2K-6 tile glue is a hydraulic hardening glue and therefore it should not be exposed to water and cold before it hardens completely. The complete hardening of this glue may take several days under harsh weather conditions.
- The surfaces on which UNIFIX-2K-6 is not applied must be protected from the effects of this material.
