Lightweight parallel wing chanels are made of carbon steel. The cross-sectional shape of the light parallel wing stud consists of a horizontal core and two U-shaped vertical wings that have a circular curvature at the internal angles of the cross section. This profile is widely used in industrial and construction applications. Studs are made similar to the standard I-shaped beams. The gap between the stud and the I-shaped beam is the curvature of the edges to one side in the stud. Studs are generally produced by hot rolling.
